What is CCN all about ?
CCN Communications is a place where people over the internet want to take time out for the real world and comminicate with other people all over the world, we use a "chat control" that displays on your browser and you are able to join also we support the use of IRC clients and they can connect with an added connection if you would prefer so all users get the best way possible. Also in preperation we are looking into having "WebTV" users on the service ! just a little extra to offer members !
I enter the chatroom no users and the topic is the room name ?
If you have came accross this it is due to a maintenance update and that means if you had any special characters for hidden spaces in your name it means they have been replaced and you will need to goto My Nickname and change your name either back to what it was or change it to something else.
Connection problems are preventing you from accessing this server ?
If you are getting the message popup saying this "Connection problems are preventing you from accessing this server" this could be of two reasons either the server has reset or some of your information maybe corrupt in our system and we need to reset some information. The steps below show you what to do to resolve this issue please try the first suggestion first thanks.
Server Reset
To resolve this issue all you need to do is Logout then log back in and you will be able to access the chat service again without anymore issues.
Corrupt Information
If this is the case you will need to contact the "Administration" directly to do this goto Contact US section and select the "Contact The Administration" section and let them know what problems you are having and they will go through the procedure with you and hopefully get you back into a chatroom in no time.
I get site error messages when I try and login ?
This normally occurs when you have entered the wrong password or e-mail address. So I would suggest if your e-mail address is correct please goto the Forgot Password section and enter your e-mail address. We will e-mail you automatically back with a new password for you to sign in with. Once you have logged in goto Change Password section and put in the password where it says "current password" then put your new password (one that you will remember) the next two box's and you will be set.
Im registered on this site but I cant login the forums ?
This is because we have two seprate accounts at the moment as we havent combined the ccn communications user system with the forums user system. We are currently looking into upgrading this to our own unique forums, But for the moment you will need to register for the forums also if you wish to post messages on the site.
I am using "Web TV" and cant access any chatrooms ?
At present ccn communications are sorry to announce that at this present time we do not support "Web TV" but we are trying our best to get this service up and running as soon as possible. If you have any information that would help us this function working on ccn communications please goto the Contact US and goto the suggestion section and give as much information as possible to the most detail and we will reply back to you as soon as we have reviewed it.
I cant edit my profile fully on the "FireFox" browser ?
At present the "Edit Profile" drop down menu functions are not working propely and we are trying our best to resolve this issue what we suggest is to load "Internet Explorer" and edit your profile via that browser and then go back to using "FireFox" as your chat browser and you will notice your profile has been updated fully.
When I try to register it wont work ?
Please make sure you fill in all fields including your date of birth. We only put information in the register form that we require. Anything else will be added via "Editing Your Profile" so please try and fill all the fields to complete the register form.
I am trying to enter some rooms as a guest but it says I am banned ?
If you are trying to enter certain rooms on ccn as a guest but get a message popup saying "You are currently banned by the room or possibly banned completely from the server" this means the owners of the room may have put a ban from guests entering their room. In the Code Of Conduct you will notice that we do not control any user creaed chatroom also they can refuse to allow guests from entering their room, Every room on ccn have diffrent rules depending on the owner.
I am in a "CCN Registered Room" as a guest and cant talk ?
CCN allow guests to enter the chatrooms to see how they work and to get a feel for the place before you register but for our members saftey we refuse guests to communicate with our members to make them feel safe and thats what ccn
You cannot enter this room because your name is already in use ?
If you are trying to access a chatroom but you get a message saying that you can't enter because your nickname is already in use please goto the HelpDesk and let one of our members of staff know which room you are in and they will assist you from there.
I want to know all the benifits of "CSR" ?
